On weekends, club members come together to prepare and cook warm meals, which are then delivered to emergency women’s shelters in Rockville, Derwood, and Silver Spring, supporting those in need.
Since 2019, the club has provided over 500 meals, organized the birthday parties, donated women accessories and toiletries to help, making a meaningful impact in the community.

Caitlyn Yee, the President of the club, leads the "Sparkling Lights" Diamond Clover Level 6 Community Service-Learning Project.

Wenquing Guan - Vice President of Community Engagement

Wenqing Guan is a 12th-grade student at Northwest High School with a strong passion for community involvement and engineering. As the Vice President of Community Engagement for the Sunny STEM 4-H Club, Wenqing focuses on fostering meaningful connections through collaborative projects and shared interests.

Derek Jiang - Vice President 

Derek Jiang is currently a sophomore in the STEM program at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland. 

Derek brings a wealth of experience in STEM and community service.

Leo Wang - Recreation Leader

Leo Wang is a sophomore at Quince Orchard High School and has been a resident of Gaithersburg for over 11 years. As an only child, Leo has always had a curious and independent nature, which led him to join the 4-H Sunny STEM Club. His involvement began through a connection at Hope Chinese School, where he found a community that nurtured his interests in science and recreation.

In his role as Recreation Leader, Leo helps plan and organize activities that encourage fun, engagement, and teamwork within the club.

Stephanie -- News Reporter

Isabelle Carpriano, a 17-year-old student at Adventist School, has a lifelong passion for music. Her journey began as a young girl singing at her local church and evolved over the years to include learning the violin during elementary school, performing with the school choir, and later mastering the guitar. 

Stephanie as News Reporter for the Sunny STEM 4-H Club, Stephanie plays a crucial role in documenting and sharing the club’s activities and achievements, ensuring the broader community stays informed and inspired by the club’s innovative work.

Brian Diaz - Senior Advisor

Brian Diaz, a student at the Catholic University of America, serves as the Senior Advisor for the Club. Raised in Rockville, Maryland, Brian has successfully balanced his academic pursuits, passion for soccer, and leadership responsibilities. 

His contributions continue to strengthen the club’s mission of innovation, teamwork, and service.
