Derek Jiang - Vice President
Derek Jiang, a junior in the STEM program at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, serves as the Vice President of the Sunny STEM Club. He brings extensive experience in engineering, design, and active participation in community service projects.

Stephanie - News Reporter
Isabelle Carpriano, a 17-year-old senior, and Stephanie, a junior, are both students at Beltsville Adventist School. Music has been Isabelle's passion since childhood, beginning with singing at her local church as a young girl. Over the years, she has expanded her musical abilities by learning the violin in elementary school, joining the school choir, and later taking up the guitar.
Leo Wang - Recreation Leader
Leo Wang, a junior at Quince Orchard High School, has been a resident of Gaithersburg for approximately 12 years. He joined the Sunny STEM Club in 2023 and is currently pursuing an associate's degree through the Dual Enrollment Program at Montgomery College.
Our Main Projects
Caitlyn Yee - President
Caitlyn Yee is co-founder and president for the club. She is a senior at Poolesville High School with a wide range of interests, including robotics, music, visual arts, photography, gardening and public speaking projects. Her achievements include winning Grand Champion, Champion, Reserve Champion, and first-place awards at county and state-level.
Brian Diaz - Senior Advisor
Brian Diaz, a student at the Catholic University of America, serves as the Senior Advisor for the Sunny STEM Club. Hailing from Rockville, Maryland, Brian has skillfully balanced his dedication to STEM, soccer, leadership, and academics with his unwavering commitment to supporting the club's mission.
Wenquing Guan - Vice President
Wenqing Guan, a senior at Northwest High School, plans to pursue engineering in college. Beyond his passion for STEM, he is an accomplished member of the Cresap Rifle Club, having earned numerous shooting competition awards in the Eastern region. Wenqing is deeply committed to community involvement and values building connections through shared interests and collaborative projects.
